As one of the more
popular tween stars, singer-actress Vanessa Anne Hudgens rose rapidly to
stardom under the name Gabriella Montez due to her leading role in the famous
Disney trilogy – High School Musical. Songs from High School Musical charted
worldwide with the song Breaking Free as one of the Top 10 in the year 2006.
This led to her releasing her debut album “V” on September 26th
2006. Her second album “Identified” was released on July 1st 2008 in
the US.
Her early life in a brief and quick flashback to her past shows: Born on December 14th 1988 to Gina Guangco and Greg Hudgens in Salinas, California, USA Vanessa Anne Hudgens has a younger sister Stella Hudgens. As many already know she was home schooled after 7th grade and it is quite ironic as she was asked to play the role of a girl in high school but her only comment is “I know it is silly but I always wanted to be a prom queen and that was the one thing I missed.” Finally moving to Los Angeles with her family, Vanessa wonderfully did not find any difficulties to land more deals for other commercials afterwards, even quickly made her way to shift into show business through an appearance in CBS' sitcom "Still Standing" in 2002. Within one year, she had already encountered her film debut in "Thirteen" (2003), following it with a series of acting stints either for small or big screen such as culminating in Disney Channel's original movie "High School Musical." Premiered in January 2006, the movie turned out to be a big success, propelling its teen cast into instant stardom. Already a regular guest on the Disney comedy series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, it was no surprise that she was picked to star opposite Zac Efron in the made-for-TV romance High School Musical (also starring Ashley Tisdale). The movie was a hit and the soundtrack reached the top of Billboard's charts, leading to a record deal for Hudgens. She also starred in High School Musical sequels in 2007 and 2008. Her success in the musicals led to a singing career, and her debut album, 2006's V produced the hit single "Come Back to Me." Her second album, Identified, was released in 2008, and in 2011 she was back on the big screen in the feature film Sucker Punch.
The
superb outcome of "High School Musical" soundtrack subsequently gave
a big effect to Vanessa, who had contributed her voice for several tracks in
the CD, particularly in smash hit single "Breaking Free." Not only
receiving a great portion of attention from music listeners, she also delightfully
found herself signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records, a label
owned by Disney, shortly thereafter. The lavish deal was then materialized in
debut album "V" which came out on September 26, 2006 in
U.S. It did well enough, reaching the 24th rank on the Billboard 200 chart in
its first week while spawning two hits songs namely "Come Back to Me"
and "When There Was Me and You." She consequently became a teen idol, receiving a nod for Choice
Breakout Singer Female at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards.
THE
FOLLOW THROUGH-:
In January 2008 it was announced that she will star in big
screen comedy "Rock On” alongside "Friends" star Lisa
Kudrow and that
her new album was in line. The sophomore set was titled "Identified" and was outed on July 1, 2008 with
"Sneakernight" as the first single. Meanwhile, she kept her schedule
packed with her reprising act as Gabriella Montez in the "High
School Musical 3: Senior Year"
which due to its popularity was brought to the big screen. The film was slated
to hit the cinema on October 28, 2008.
After
that she has focused more on her acting career. Now after acting in a couple
more movies – her latest one being “Spring Breakers” her next one “Kitchen
Sink” will come out in 2015.
She
was given the opportunity to audition for High School Musical and she sang
“Angels” by Robbie Williams. She was given the leading role, starring alongside
Zac Effron. This started the hit series and was followed by two more movies.
FAME AND FUN-:
Let’s take a step in to her life and
see her long Walk of Fame. After seeing the first movie as such a large hit
they decided to come out with another movie. Although all three were a huge
hit, High School Musical 3 was the only one to be released in the theatre.

With her enormous list of movies,
many which were not too well known and some which were very well known she has
done a lot and must be known to the world as who she is and not as Gabriella or
Kim or any other character she has acted as. None but herself.
